This mission station was initially looked after from Morga. It was made a parish in 1983 and Rev. Fr. Libinus Toppo, SAC was the first priest-in-charge. The Pallottine Fathers are running a school there. Holy Cross Sisters (SCSC) are helping out in the school as well as in the pastoral activities of the parish. The sisters run a hostel for the girls.
