Kapa was a substation of the Cathedral Parish and looked after by the Pallottine Fathers. It was erected a parish in 1996. The only Catholic college in the Archdiocese named St. Vincent Pallotti College is situated in this parish, besides the college an English Medium School as well as a Hindi medium Hr. Sec. School are also run by the Pallottine Fathers in the Parish. SMMI Sisters have a health centre known as Christ Sahaya Kendra and an English Medium school. They have been very helpful in the pastoral ministry of the parish. The Franciscan Sisters (O.S.F.) run a working
women’s hostel.

The Provincial Houses of the SAC (Pallotti Fathers) and of the SMMI (Salesian Missionaries of Mary Immaculate) also are situated in this parish. There is also a Technical Training Center for boys, managed by the Pallottine Fathers. The Carmelite Cloistered Sisters (O.C.D) have their house built next to the Pallotti College. Since many years they have been serving the Archdiocese by their intense prayer life and other services. The Jesuits have established a social service centre known as XISA-Xavier Institute for Social Action and manage the Campion School. At Saddu Pallottine Sisters have a convent and they help out in the Campion school and the Institute. In 2016 they started a play school.
